Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
Almighty Allah's Truth.
