Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
