We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
