Surely, the cautious shall have Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. 34 Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals? 35 What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or have We sworn a covenant with you which We are bound to keep till the Day of Resurrection, (a covenant requiring that whatever you ordain for yourselves shall be yours)? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or do they have associates? Then let them bring their associates, if they speak truly. 41 On the day when the Shin* will be exposed and they will be called to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. (Used as a metaphor) 42 Their eyes will be cast down and they will be covered in shame; they were bidden to prostrate themselves, when they were safe and sound [but they did not obey]. 43 Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 Or do you ask from them a reward, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 Wait patiently for your Lord's judgement; do not be like the man who, having been swallowed by a whale, called out in distress. 48 Had the favor of his Lord not come upon him, he would have been blamed, cast upon the shore. 49 But his Lord chose him and placed him among the righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
