The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the sun and his early morning splendour, 1 And [by] the moon when it follows it 2 And [by] the day when it displays it 3 By the night when it envelopeth it, 4 by the sky and how He built it 5 by the earth and that (Power) which spread it out 6 And a soul and Him Who perfected it 7 And given the faculty of knowing what is disruptive and what is intrinsic to it. 8 He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, 9 and he who corrupts it is sure to fail. 10 Thamud (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin). 11 when the most wretched of them uprose, 12 And the apostle of God had to tell them: "This is God's she-camel, let her drink." 13 But they gave him the lie, and cruelly slaughtered her - whereupon their Sustainer visited them with utter destruction for this their sin, destroying them all alike: 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
