S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 Nay, but the unbelievers are steeped in arrogance and stubborn defiance. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your, (Muhammad's), Lord, the Majestic and Munificent God? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 They are only a small band among the defeated confederate tribes. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
