The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 that hide, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
