Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs - 34 that they might eat of its fruits and their hands' labour. What, will they not be thankful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... " 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when it is said unto them: expend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: shall we feed those whom God Himself would have fed, if He listed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. 50
