So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
