Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
