The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who observe Zakah; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
