and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
