The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
