Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord. 2 'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.). 11 We know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam – it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 but as for those who have deviated, they have become firewood for Gehenna!"' 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever-growing torment. 17 All the parts of the body to be placed on the ground during prostration belong to God. 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19
