The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
