Do the disbelievers reckon that they can choose My bondmen as protecting friends beside Me? Lo! We have prepared hell as a welcome for the disbelievers. 102 Say, (O Muhammad): "Shall We tell you who will be the greatest losers in respect of their works? 103 "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds! 104 They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. 105 That shall be their meed - Hell - for they disbelieved and held My revelations and My apostles in mockery. 106 [But,] verily, as for those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds - the gardens of paradise will be there to welcome them; 107 Wherein they will abide, with no desire to be removed from thence. 108 Say: If the sea were ink for the words of my Lord, the sea would surely be consumed before the words of my Lord are exhausted, though We were to bring the like of that (sea) to add 109 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It is revealed to me that your God is One God. So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds and let him associate no one else in the worship of his Lord." 110
