Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
