▼ 51 Drivers of the Winds
Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 And set not up another god with Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 The unjust will bear a burden like that of their unjust predecessors. Let them not make Me bring immediate punishment upon them. 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
