And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire! 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 This is a Book We have sent down unto thee, blest, that they may ponder the revelations thereof, and that there may be admonished men of understanding. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]." 32 Then he said "Bring them (horses) back to me." Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks (till the end of the display). 33 And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent. 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, 36 And the shaitans, every builder and diver, 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come,] and the most beauteous of all goals! 40
