▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 With spreading branches. 48 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 49 In the two Gardens flow two springs. 50 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 53 (The dwellers of Paradise) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade and it will be easy to reach the ripe fruits from the two gardens. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni - 56 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 57 They are like rubies and coral-stone. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 Can any thing else be a response to a favor but a favor? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 65 Wherein are two abundant springs. 66 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Man has not touched them before them nor jinni. 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! 78
