The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
