And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 and thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at sunrise. 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
