In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
