We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
