The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
