The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
