Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
