Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Noble and recording; 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
