Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days). 84 The day We shall usher the righteous before Ar-Rahman like envoys into the presence of a king, 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Beneficent (Allah). 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 That they ascribe a son to the Beneficent Allah. 91 It does not become the majesty of the Compassionate God to take to Himself a son: 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender). 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
