And said the leaders of his people, who disbelieved and denied the confronting of the Hereafter – and We had given them comfort in the worldly life – that, “He is nothing but a human like you, he eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.” 33 And were ye to obey a human being like you, ye are forthwith to be losers. 34 "Does he promise you that when you have died and have become dust and bones, you shall come out alive (resurrected)? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which you are promised. 36 There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again). 37 He is only a man who invents lies against God, so have no faith in him". 38 The Messenger prayed, "Lord, help me; they have called me a liar". 39 Allah said: after a little while they will become regretful. 40 So the true Scream seized them – We therefore made them like rotten hay; so away with the unjust people! 41 Thereafter, after them, We produced other generations; 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it. 43 And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave,] and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who would not believe! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. 46 So they said: shall we believe in two human beings like unto us, while their nation are to us slaves? 47 So they denied them both [Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)] and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided. 49 And We made Mary's son, and his mother, a Sign, and We gave them refuge on a lofty ground, a peaceful site with springs flowing in it. 50
