(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
