Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 thou art truly among the Envoys 3 pursuing a straight way 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence). 12
