Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
