The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
