The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
