Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
