▼ 74 The Hidden Secret

No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About the criminals, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
