Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
