Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
