Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
