The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky containing great stars 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
