And recount to them the story of Abraham: 69 When he said unto his father and his folk: What worship ye? 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing thus (what we do)." 74 He said: "Have you considered what you have been worshipping, 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), 81 and He who will, I hope, forgive me my faults on the Day of the Judgement. 82 Lord, grant me authority. Join me to the righteous ones. 83 and grant me an honourable reputation among posterity, 84 "Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 "And forgive my father - for, verily, he is among those who have gone astray 86 And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; 87 on the Day of Judgment when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit 88 [and when] only he [will be happy] who comes before God with a heart free of evil!" 89 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship; 92 beside Allah? Can they be of any help to you, or even be of any help to themselves?" 93 And they will be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 And the hosts of Iblis all together. 95 And they will say, when they are quarrelling therein: 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 And now we have none to intercede for us, 100 nor any loving friend. 101 Would that we might return again, and be among the believers' 102 In all this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 103 surely, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
