Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
