Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
