The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O, you, wrapped in your cloak, 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And your Lord do magnify, 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 And uncleanliness avoid 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 it will be a hard day 9 For the unbelievers, anything but easy. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 And to whom I granted extensive wealth 12 And children to be by his side! 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 By no means; he is stubbornly opposed to Our Signs. 16 I will constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 May he be condemned! 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 May he be condemned again for his schemes! He looked around, 21 frowned and scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was haughty; 23 And said: "This is nothing but the magic of old, 24 This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I shall make him suffer the torment of hell. 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It spares nothing; it leaves nothing intact; 28 Burning the skins! 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels as the keepers of the Fire, and We have not made their number but as a trial for the unbelievers so that those who have been endowed with the Book will be convinced and the believers' faith will increase, and neither those who have been endowed with the Book nor the believers will fall into any doubt. As for those in whose hearts there is a sickness as well as the unbelievers, they will say: “What did Allah aim at by this strange parable?” Thus does Allah let whomsoever He pleases to go astray, and directs whomsoever He pleases to the Right Way. And none knows the hosts of your Lord but He. (And Hell has only been mentioned here) that people may take heed. 31

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
