Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What took you into the hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
