Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
