The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
