The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
