Blest be He Who hath placed big stars in the heaven, and hath placed therein a lamp and a moon enlightening. 61 And it is He who made the night and day a succession for whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful. 62 The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace; 63 And these who pass the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing up. 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 who when they spend are neither wasteful nor miserly, between that is a just stand, 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 and on the Day of Judgment their torment will be double. They will suffer forever in disgrace. 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance - 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious - see V. 2:2 and the footnote of V. 3:164)." 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. 77
